When do I get paid?
Stripe pays you, on Stripe's schedule. Buyers pay into your own Stripe Standard account, so you are the merchant of record and Stakk never holds your money or sits between you and your payout. Stripe explains its schedules here.
Whose Stripe account is it?
Yours. You connect your own Stripe account when you go live. It stays in your name, and it stays yours if you ever close your store.
What does each sale cost?
One all-in rate, from 10% + $0.50 per sale, card processing included. No monthly fee and no setup fee. If your Stripe account settles in a currency other than US dollars, Stripe adds about 2%, so a typical sale lands near 12%. Full pricing.
If I refund a buyer, do I get the fee back?
No. Refunding is entirely your call, and you refund the full amount they paid. Stakk's 7.1% + 20c and Stripe's processing fee are not returned to you.
Who handles a chargeback?
You do, inside your Stripe account. You are the merchant of record on every sale, so disputes come to you, not to Stakk.
What currency do buyers pay in?
US dollars, everywhere. If your Stripe account settles in another currency, Stripe converts the money and charges about 2% for it. Stripe lets many non-US accounts hold a US dollar balance, which removes that conversion.
Why does Stripe check my identity?
Stripe checks who you are before your store can take a payment. That is what puts the verified badge on your store, so buyers know a real person is behind it.
