Which platforms have order bumps and one-click upsells with no monthly fee?

Three: Whop, Systeme.io and Stakk. I checked over 40 creator commerce platforms, and nine list both an order bump and a post-purchase one-click upsell - though two of those nine never document the one-click part. Six of the nine put the upsell behind a monthly subscription, most often $99 a month. Checked 12 September 2026 against each platform's own help documentation.

What is the difference between an order bump and an upsell?

An order bump is an optional add-on shown on the checkout page, before the buyer pays. They tick a box, it joins the same transaction, and there is one charge.

A post-purchase one-click upsell is an offer made after the first payment has already succeeded. Because the card is on file, the buyer can accept without typing their details again. It is a second charge.

The order bump rides the first transaction. The upsell is a second charge the buyer accepts without re-entering a card. Nine platforms of the 40-plus I checked ship both, and the second one is what most of them charge for.

The distinction matters because platforms blur it in their marketing. A "related products" strip on a product page isn't an order bump. Nor is a discount email sent after the sale. Both of those make the buyer start a fresh checkout, and both convert far worse. For this comparison I counted only the strict definitions above.

Which platforms have both order bumps and one-click upsells?

Nine of the platforms I checked list both. Seven document them clearly enough to call it; two I couldn't confirm. Here they are with what they cost to reach the feature.

Platform Order bump One-click upsell Monthly cost to get both
WhopYesYes$0
Systeme.ioYesYes$0 (1 of each on the free plan)
StakkYesYes$0
TeachableYesYes$39 floor
ThinkificYesUnclear$54 for the bump, $109 for after-purchase flows
Checkout PageYes, on freeYes$99 for the upsell
PodiaYesYes$99 (Shaker)
Stan StoreYesUnclear$99 (Creator Pro)
KajabiYesYes$179 floor

Unclear appears three times, and for the same reason each time: the platform documents an offer appearing after purchase but never states that the card stays on file for a genuine one-tap accept.

Thinkific's order bump is documented and rides a single transaction, but its After Purchase Flow is not described that way. Stan Store documents post-purchase funnel offers on Creator Pro, and up to five levels of nested upsells and downsells, but never says the card is reused - its only related line is that funnels support payments through the Stripe credit card field. Whop's own documentation is more explicit that the offer lands the second someone buys, which is why it's a yes here, but it's a thinner margin than a table makes it look. If you're choosing a platform on this feature specifically, ask the vendor directly rather than trusting any comparison, including mine.

Why do so many platforms charge $99 a month for upsells?

Look at the right-hand column again. Podia, Stan Store and Checkout Page all land on exactly $99 a month, and in each case the order bump is the cheaper half while the post-purchase upsell is the thing that triggers the upgrade.

That is not a coincidence. The post-purchase upsell is the most reliably paywalled feature in this category, because it's the feature that most directly raises what a seller earns per buyer. It's priced as a revenue-share in disguise: the platform charges a fixed monthly amount for the mechanism that lifts your average order value.

If you're doing serious volume, $99 a month against a higher order value can be a straightforward trade. If you're testing a first product, paying $1,188 a year for a checkbox before you know whether anyone wants the product is a poor use of money.

Does Gumroad have order bumps?

Gumroad has a cross-sell checkbox that appears at checkout, so it counts as an order bump under our definition. It does not have a post-purchase one-click upsell. What Gumroad calls an upsell after the sale runs through an email workflow, which means the buyer has to click out and pay again.

Gumroad has a single free plan, so nothing here is gated behind a subscription. Its published rate is 10% + $0.50 per sale, and Gumroad's own fees article states that figure does not include credit card processing of 2.9% + $0.30 - so the real all-in cost of a direct sale is around 12.9% + $0.80. Above $20,000 a month in direct sales that rate drops to 5% + $0.50. Note also that Gumroad became the merchant of record on 1 January 2025, so Gumroad is the legal seller and pays you out, rather than your buyer paying you directly. The longer version is in our full breakdown of Gumroad's order bump.

Does Payhip have order bumps?

Payhip shows a cross-sell in the cart before payment, so yes on the bump. It doesn't have a post-purchase one-click upsell. Its "upgrade discount" is a new transaction after checkout and is also offered by email.

The answer here is genuinely hard to find. Several pages currently ranking for this question claim Payhip offers one-click upsells, which contradicts Payhip's own help documentation. Both of Payhip's features work on the free plan. We went through it line by line in our Payhip breakdown, and did the same for Stan Store, where both features sit behind the $99 plan.

Which platforms have neither?

Most of them. Ko-fi, Buy Me a Coffee, Beacons (bump only, and on a higher tier), Linktree, Milkshake, Lnk.bio, Patreon, Skool, Circle, Fourthwall, Lemon Squeezy, Sellfy, beehiiv, Pensight, Komi, hoo.be, Spring and Shorby all lack a true checkout order bump, a post-purchase one-click upsell, or both.

Lemon Squeezy is the notable one: upsells and bundles are still on its public roadmap, and it has been in maintenance since Stripe acquired it in July 2024. Sellfy shows upsells on store and product pages rather than inside the checkout, which doesn't meet the definition.

So which should you actually use?

Whop, and it isn't close on price. No monthly plan, both features, no surcharge, 2.7% + $0.30 per sale - under our rate at every revenue level. If cost per sale is what decides it, use Whop.

Systeme.io is free forever at a 0% take rate and ships bumps, one-click upsells and downsells. On the free plan you get one of each. A creator turning over $10,000 a month pays Systeme.io nothing and pays us around $760.

Stakk is worth a look if you want the simplest version of this: a storefront at stakk.store/yourname, no monthly fee, and payment straight into your own Stripe account, where you stay the merchant of record and Stripe pays you on its own schedule rather than the platform holding your money. We charge 7.1% + $0.20, and with Stripe's processing on top that lands around 10% + $0.50 all in at Stripe's US rates. If your Stripe account settles in a currency other than US dollars, Stripe's conversion fee takes a realistic order closer to 12%.

How fees work on a bump versus an upsell. On Stakk, a product and its order bump go through as a single charge, so they carry a single fee - the bump costs you nothing extra in fixed fees. An upsell is offered after the first payment has succeeded, so it has to be its own charge and it carries the same rate again. Every transaction is charged on its own, and there's no separate charge for using the feature.

Who shouldn't be using Stakk?

Anyone selling a subscription, for a start. Stakk has no recurring billing at all, so a membership isn't a thing you can build here - that's Podia, Circle, Patreon or Skool. Same for prices above $999, any currency other than USD, course hosting and call booking. None of those exist.

Volume is the other one. A percentage beats a subscription while you're small and loses once you're not: above roughly $400 a month in sales a flat-fee platform starts winning, and Systeme.io wins immediately on take rate. And if you want the platform to be merchant of record and handle VAT and chargebacks for you, that is deliberately your responsibility here. Lemon Squeezy, Gumroad or Paddle instead.

Want to try the third one?

Stakk is the third row in that table: both halves of the funnel, no monthly fee, nothing gated behind a tier. Whop and Systeme.io are cheaper per sale and the table says so - if the take rate is the whole decision, that is your answer and you can stop reading.

What is different here is the checkout. The bump rides the same charge as the product, so a $29 product with a $19 bump is one transaction and one fee rather than two. The upsell afterwards is one tap against the card already on file, not a second checkout you have to talk somebody into a second time. And the layout and the order the offers appear in came out of funnels that actually ran for agency clients before Stakk existed, rather than a design exercise.

10% + $0.50 a sale, card processing included. Your buyers pay into your own Stripe account and Stripe pays you out. Where we are wrong for you: no subscriptions or memberships, nothing above $999, US dollars only, and no courses or call bookings.
